The purpose of Miskatonic Online is to provide education on real-world academic topics such as Math, Astronomy, and Philosophy. The courses will remain "frontier," meaning that the math course is Dark Mathematics (exploring the philosophical and psychological problems behind mathematics) the Astronomy will focus on subjects such as Nemesis theory, dark matter, dark energy, and black holes, and the philosophy will focus on Cosmic Horror.
Miskatonic Online does not deal with magic or the occult except in terms of analytical examinations of real-life religious practices as they relate to academic topics (such as the Math Cult of Pythagorus).
